Virco's Financials Are Starting To Reflect Its Competitive Reality Virco Mfg. Corporation's Q1 2026 results confirm my earlier warnings: Revenues and backlogs continue to decline 20–30% YoY, indicating a weaker peak season ahead. FY 2026 is likely to be a breakeven year, with profits reverting to pre-supply chain crisis norms rather than the recent outlier years of strong earnings. Potential tariff and supply chain disruptions could help Virco, but these factors are not yet material tailwinds and may not significantly boost competitiveness. seekingalpha.com - 1 month ago
Virco Manufacturing Corporation (VIRC) Reports Q1 Loss, Misses Revenue Estimates Virco Manufacturing Corporation (VIRC) came out with a quarterly loss of $0.01 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $0.13. Virco Reports $700,000 First Quarter Profit as Demand for School Furniture Slows TORRANCE, Calif., June 06, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Virco Mfg. Corporation (NASDAQ: VIRC), a leading manufacturer and direct supplier of moveable furniture and equipment for educational environments and public spaces in the United States, reported a modest profit despite slowing demand during the Company's first quarter ended April 30, 2025. Through three months, net income was $0.7 million versus $2.1 million for the comparable period last year. Last year's first quarter was positively impacted by a very large, counter-seasonal disaster recovery order. Because the Company's business is highly seasonal, with operating losses typical in the seasonally light first and fourth quarters, unusual orders like the one last year can have a disproportionate impact. Underlying demand unrelated to disaster recovery is also slowing somewhat, but to a lesser degree than the headline year-over-year comparison might suggest. Management believes that underlying demand is within normal parameters for multi-year, election-related bond cycles. globenewswire.com - 1 month ago

Virco Mfg. Corporation: A Reshoring Play At A P/E Of 7 Virco, a small-cap company specializing in commercial and educational furniture, has seen steady 6% annual growth over the last decade. Donald Trump's tariffs on China/Mexico and tax benefits for companies that manufacture in the U.S would be a beneficial catalyst for Virco. It's trading at a P/E of 7 times (industry average of 14), just starting to pay dividends and with an active buyback plan. seekingalpha.com - 5 months ago
