Cyclical Rebound or False Start for These 3 Stocks? There is a lot of noise in the stock market, distracting investors from what really matters: the fundamentals. There is no use in trying to follow the sentiment and optimism when the S&P 500 index is trading near its all-time high levels, since this is typically where underlying drivers become more sensitive and vital, making it harder for portfolios to perform properly. marketbeat.com - 5 days ago

Kairos Minerals expands gold resource potential at Mt York with wide intercepts Kairos Minerals Ltd (ASX:KAI, OTCQB:KAIFF) has reported strong progress at its Mt York Gold Project in Western Australia, with new drilling results extending gold mineralisation and confirming high-grade shoots across multiple prospects. The results form part of an ongoing Stage 1 resource expansion program, aiming to increase the current 1.4-million-ounce (Moz) gold resource at Mt York. With three diamond drill rigs on site, Kairos has completed 36 holes for 10,025 metres of drilling, ahead of schedule and within budget. The Stage 1 drilling program is focused on expanding gold resources by testing the continuity of high-grade mineralisation along strike and at depth. These early results — from the Gossan Hill, Breccia Hill and Main Hill prospects — have shown positive signs for resource growth, with mineralisation extending and higher-grade zones forming part of a robust structural model. Diamond drill hole location at Main Trend with results. Tenement M45/1306 covers the Main Trend Resource. The latest assay results from 16 holes include some highly encouraging intercepts that will likely have a positive impact on the upcoming mineral resource estimate (MRE) update. Among the standout results are: Typical higher-grade gold mineralisation at Main Hill from drill hole 25MYDD012. The NQ core (diameter 47.6mm for scale) is from 274-276m and is part of the intercept of 7m @ 2.66g/t Au. Left-hand core is 274-275m with grade of 4.12 g/t Au and the right-hand core is from 275-276m with grade of 2.9 g/t Au. These results highlight consistent higher-grade mineralisation across the Main Trend, supporting the company's expectations for an updated MRE in the second half of 2025. The drilling has confirmed high-grade shoots both horizontally and along strike, with some areas showing potential for greater-than-300-metre extensions. Kairos has also expanded its drilling efforts at the highly prospective Main Hill Prospect. Historically difficult to access, the site now has a third diamond drill rig capable of low-angle drilling, which has enabled testing of areas that were previously under-drilled. The company is eagerly anticipating the first results from this expanded drilling, with significant mineralisation already observed in banded iron formation (BIF) host rocks. “The first results from Mt York continue to reinforce our belief in the potential scale of this project, and we are on track to deliver a new and much improved mineral resource estimate later in 2025, incorporating at least 18,000 metres of additional drilling results,” Kairos managing director Dr Peter Turner said. “We continue to ask ourselves, ‘how big is the Mt York gold resource?’ and will increase and expand Stage 1 drilling if we believe the mineralisation continues to be open, which appears to be the case at the moment." Long-section of the Mt York Gold Deposit (looking 030 NNE) and extension on PLS licence E45/2241 (far left of figure). The intercepts shown are desurveyed, downhole intercepts on the projected drill string. Looking ahead, Kairos is focused on continuing drilling at Mt York with plans to complete the Stage 1 drilling by September. The company is also preparing for the Stage 2 drilling campaign, which will aim to convert Inferred resources to higher-confidence Indicated resources in early 2026. “We are confident Mt York will become one of the Pilbara’s (and Western Australia’s) largest undeveloped gold resources with clean metallurgy once drilling is complete,” Turner said. With drilling results expected through to September 2025, Kairos is preparing for a comprehensive MRE update later in the year, as well as ongoing studies for resource development and metallurgical testing. United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:UAL, ETR:UAL1) shares moved lower afterhours as the airline reported a revenue miss for the second quarter. Revenue was up 1.7% year-over-year at $15.24 billion, short of the Wall Street consensus estimate of $15.35 billion. Earnings per share (EPS) of $3.87 beat guidance in the range of $3.25 to $4.25 and the consensus estimate of $3.81. The airline said it expects less geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty in the second half of 2025. It noted a demand inflection beginning in early July, with a 6-point acceleration in booking demand. The company also updated its adjusted EPS guidance to $9 to $11, at the midpoint of $10 is slightly below the Street consensus of $10.16. “United saw a positive shift in demand beginning in early July, and, like 2024, anticipates another inflection in industry supply in mid-August,” United CEO Scott Kirby said in a statement. “The world is less uncertain today than it was during the first six months of 2025 and that gives us confidence about a strong finish to the year." Shares of United Airlines traded down 2.1% post-earnings. https://www.proactiveinvestors.com - 5 days ago

United Airlines: Don't Be Blind To The ~15% FCF Yield United Airlines has transformed into a free cash flow machine, with its stock now offering a staggering 15% FCF yield that makes the broader market's yield pale in comparison. The recent Q2 report served as a major de-risking event, with the valuable MileagePlus loyalty program now fully unencumbered and management signaling a significant acceleration in demand. While some investors may focus on the lowered full-year guidance, I view this as a prudent move that establishes an achievable earnings floor, making the outlook more reliable than before. seekingalpha.com - 5 days ago
