8 Stocks I'm Buying As I Hone My Buying Strategy For 2025 I visualize my portfolio as a galley ship with rowers (steady compounders) and sails (high-yielding securities) for balanced growth and income. In 2025, my goal is to refocus on rowers to enhance dividend growth, using Schwab US Dividend Equity ETF (SCHD) as a primary vehicle. I've sold high-risk stocks and reinvested in higher-yielding, safer options, but my portfolio is now too weighted towards immediate income. seekingalpha.com - 1 month ago
Gladstone Land: A Record 5% Dividend Yield From U.S. Farmland Gladstone Land owns 168 farms and nearly 54,000 acre-feet of water assets, with a 99.5% occupancy rate, but shares have dipped 20% over the last year. The REIT's NAV per share stands at $15.57, trading at a 29% discount, with a 5.04% dividend yield, offering a reasonable margin of safety. Third quarter revenue and cash flows have declined, with NAV per share dropping from $20.33 a year ago due to lower farm valuations and higher long-term borrowing costs. seekingalpha.com - 1 month ago
7 Stocks I'm Buying In Defiance Of Post-Election Euphoria Some stock sectors exhibit dangerous euphoria, reminiscent of Icarus flying too close to the sun, risking a significant correction. Post-election optimism has inflated valuations in midstream energy, regional banks, investment banks, and insurance companies, raising concerns about sustainability. The threat of mass deportations could impact agricultural REITs like Gladstone Land, affecting labor supply and lease structures. seekingalpha.com - 2 months ago

2 Preferred Stocks At Bargain Prices, +7% Yield A balanced mix of high yield, growth potential, and strong defense is achievable with the right approach. There are preferred securities from quality businesses, trading at substantial discounts and offering high yields. These historically high yields and discounted prices are likely to disappear with more rate cuts. seekingalpha.com - 3 months ago
These REITs Trade At Premiums, But Should They? REIT sectors are often mispriced due to broad-brush analysis; individual property types react differently to economic news, creating investment opportunities. Industrial REITs face weakened fundamentals but still have growth potential; STAG Industrial and Plymouth are undervalued within the sector. Manufactured housing REITs deserve their premium due to affordability and constrained supply; UMH Properties and Flagship offer cheaper entry points. seekingalpha.com - 3 months ago

The Impressive Durability Of REIT Investments REIT bankruptcies are incredibly rare. The nature of their business is very resilient. I present 5 reasons that make most REITs quasi indestructible. seekingalpha.com - 4 months ago
Gladstone Land Shares Have A Big Hurdle Rate, With Preferreds Yielding 7.1% Gladstone Land, a farmland REIT, has expanded significantly since its inception. Farmland demand remains high, but yields per acre have increased enough to mitigate scarcity impact. Gladstone Land trades at a slight NAV discount, and potential returns seem low. seekingalpha.com - 4 months ago
Gladstone Land: The Series B Preferred Shares Are Now Fairly Valued (Rating Downgrade) Gladstone Land is a farmland REIT focused on California and Florida. The REIT's 6% fixed-rate preferred shares have outperformed iShares Preferred and Income Securities ETF in 2024 by delivering a 20% total return. While preferred dividend and common equity coverage metrics remain robust, I estimate the common stock offers better value at the moment. seekingalpha.com - 5 months ago
Gladstone Land: The Series B Preferred Shares Look Attractive Gladstone Land preferred shares fund a third of the REIT's balance sheet, on par with debt and equity market capitalization. The Series B preferred shares offer a 7.7% yield, covered by core FFO 1.9 times. The shares trade at a discount to par, amplifying the safety offered by the $482 million market capitalization. seekingalpha.com - 8 months ago
